Sharing within a WeSync Community
There are certain calendars and contact lists that you may want to share with only a specific, well-defined group of people. In this case, the best way to share that information is in a WeSync community. Information shared in this way is only available to members of the community. Community sharing is two-way: all members can share Calendars and Contact Lists in the community and subscribe to the information of others. You also have a wider range of permissions you can assign to information when you share within a community, assigning individual resources properties such as read-write, read-only or private (calendars only).
Sharing within a WeSync Community is a great way for a group to privately collaborate, track and unify their Calendars and Contact Lists.
Sharing using "Push to My Handheld"
On occasions when you have a particular set of information you’d like to make available to a large group of individuals, it may be more convenient to post that information in a public Web location and simply direct others to that site.
“Push to My Handheld” allows you to take a Calendar or Contact List you’ve published via WeSync and share it publicly in exactly this way, giving an unlimited
number of others the ability to subscribe to your information with a simple mouse-click that 'pushes' that Calendar or Contact List to their Handheld.
The "Push to My Handheld" feature generates a unique script of HTML code which you (or your Webmaster) then place in your web page. This code displays the "Push to My Handheld" button which links to the specific Calendar or Contact List you have shared. When users click on the "Push to My Handheld" button, they are automatically subscribed to your Calendar or Contact List.
NOTE: Because Push to My Handheld is a web-based subscription tool which allows for anonymous subscriptions from anyone who clicks the button, the feature only allows you to share read-only Calendars and Contact Lists in this way.
